Peter Hawker
Pelikan is a 43' Laurent Giles ketch built by Elisabet and me and launched in 1999. We did everything except the lead keel and the rig and it took us 5 years. I think she is probably the largest boat built by a TBSA member. Here is a sailing shot in the Caribbean.

This anchorage shot with the spectacular background is from Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas. We lived on the boat for almost 5 years and sailed 45,000 nautical miles, but I had to sell the boat when we came home.

Pelikan under construction

The little dinghy (Stout) was built before Pelikan and won the "best built boat prize in the TBSA's big Easter Messabout in 1995.

The 20' Golden Bay design launch is my current project and will be electrically powered with a large number of the new stick on solar panels on the cabin and canopy.
